Pak Choi
Pak Choi is easy to grow and delicious. This variety of Chinese
mustard, sometimes called a Chinese cabbage, is slower to bolt
than many other varieties. Pak Choi has a crisp texture and sweet mild
flavor. It can be boiled like spinach or chard and is excellent in
salads, soups and stirfrys.
Sow seeds directly in ground in
early spring as soon as the ground can be worked. Plant seeds
8"-10" apart in 18" spaced rows and cover with
1/8" of soil firmed down. Matures in 40-45 days. Pak Choi prefers
a moist fertile soil. It can also be grown as a fall crop and is very
frost tolerant.
