Love In A Mist (Nigella Damascena)
This is a very attractive border plant. It produces
many bright true blue flowers per plant. It grows to an average of 12 -
18" tall, with soft lacy blue/green foliage that surround the flowers
like a mist. It is a beautiful plant throughout all its growing stages.
After flowering, they develop eye catching seed pods with dark plum
colored stripes and fleshy spiked tops.
Direct sow in full or part sun into prepared seed beds
that have been cleared of weeds and have had the top 1 inch of soil
loosened. Rake seed in lightly. Press
into soil by walking over area. Keep moist. Easily reseeds itself.
